La iglesia parroquial de Eguelshardt, construida en piedra arenisca rosa, se encuentra en una ligera colina visible desde la carretera departamental que une Bitche con Niederbronn-les-Bains
Dedicado a la Exaltación de la Santa Cruz, fue construido entre 1854 y 1858 según los planos del arquitecto mesinio Charles Gautiez, por el contratista Jean-Dominique Bourguignon de Landroff. Sustituye a una capilla del cementerio que se había vuelto insuficiente para la población
Es de estilo basílico neogótico, con crucero y coro poligonal. Bajo su campanario, que mide orgullosamente veintiocho metros y alberga tres campanas que pesan en total 963 kilos, se encuentra la placa de consagración, escrita en latín.
