El Puente Humber es el cuarto puente colgante de un solo tramo más grande del mundo. Desde su apertura en 1981, han ocurrido más de 200 incidentes de personas saltando o cayendo del puente, con solo cinco sobrevivientes. Como resultado, se han considerado planes para enjaular, o introducir vallas más altas a lo largo de las pasarelas del puente.
