Cropton es una aldea y parroquia civil en el distrito de Ryedale en North Yorkshire, Inglaterra. Está en la frontera del Parque Nacional de los Moors de North York, a 3 millas al noroeste de Pickering. El nombre de la aldea deriva del inglés antiguo, que significa un abultamiento, montículo o colina con una granja, asentamiento o aldea. En el censo de 2001, la parroquia tenía una población de 254, aumentando a 321 en el censo de 2011.
La Great Yorkshire Brewery, una microcervecería, se encuentra en la parte trasera del New Inn en el borde de la aldea. Detrás de la cervecería se encuentra el sitio de un castillo de motte y bailey, conocido como la Colina Redonda, que es un monumento antiguo programado.
