Peterlee es una pequeña ciudad construida bajo la Nueva Ley de Municipios de 1946, en el condado de Durham, Inglaterra. Fundada en 1948, la ciudad Peterlee originalmente albergaba en su mayoría mineros del carbón y sus familias.
