Meifod es un pueblito del condado galés de Powys. Está a unos once kilómetros al noreste de Trallwng, en la carretera A495, en el valle del río Efyrnwy. Este último se une con el río Banwy a unos tres kilómetros al oeste del pueblo. Es conocido porque están enterrados muchos de los reyes y príncipes del Reino de Powys en varias localizaciones alrededor del pueblo. En el centro de la villa se encuentra la iglesia de San Tysilio y Santa María, que ocupa una extensión considerable. Además, y al igual que muchos otros pueblos galeses, hay varias capillas en el pueblo y sus alrededores.
