Alnwick es un pequeño pueblo mercado en el norte de Northumberland.
Según Country Life, octubre de 2002, "Alnwick es el pueblo mercado más pintoresco de Northumberland y el mejor lugar para vivir en Gran Bretaña".
El pueblo data de aproximadamente el año 600 d.C., y a lo largo de los siglos ha prosperado como un centro agrícola; como la ubicación del Castillo de Alnwick y hogar de lo que en la época medieval eran los barones del norte más poderosos, los Condes de Northumberland; como un punto de parada en la Gran Ruta del Norte entre Edimburgo y Londres, y últimamente como un moderno centro rural convertido en pueblo dormitorio.
