La Escalera de Neptuno es una cerradura de escalera que consta de ocho cerraduras en el Canal Caledonio. Construida por Thomas Telford entre 1803 y 1822, es la cerradura de escalera más larga de Gran Bretaña. El sistema fue originalmente accionado a mano, pero ha sido convertido a operación hidráulica.
La Escalera de Neptuno en Banavie, cerca de Fort William, justo al norte de Loch Linnhe, es mantenida por Canales Escoceses. Es la cerradura de escalera más larga de Gran Bretaña, elevando barcos 64 pies. Consta de ocho cerraduras, cada una de 180 pies por 40 pies, y lleva a los barcos aproximadamente 90 minutos pasar por el sistema.
