El Parque Nacional de South Downs es un espacio natural situado en la región Sudeste de Inglaterra declarado Parque Natural desde el 1 de abril de 2011. El parque cubre 1.627 km², a lo largo de los condados de Hampshire, Sussex Occidental y Sussex Oriental, de ondulados valles que acaban en los abruptos acantilados de Beachy Head y Seven Sisters.
Las propuestas para crear un parque nacional en la zona se remontan a la década de 1940, sin embargo, no fue hasta 1999 que la idea recibió el apoyo en firme de las autoridades. Tras una consulta pública que tuvo lugar entre 2003 y 2009, el gobierno anunció su decisión de crear el parque el 31 de marzo de 2009.[2] Finalmente, entró en funcionamiento el 1 de abril de 2011.[1]
