La Universidad de Anglia Oriental es una universidad localizada en Norwich y fue fundada como parte del programa Nuevas Universidades del Gobierno británico en los años 1960. La universidad es miembro del grupo de universidades líderes británicas de investigación intensiva.
Académicamente es una de las más exitosas del país y es considerada una de las mejores instituciones de educación superior de Gran Bretaña; ocupa el 19.º puesto en el The Sunday Times University League Table 2006[1] y consta como la primera en satisfacción estudiantil entre las principales universidades inglesas en la encuesta de 2006 del National Student Survey.[2]
