Una de las historias más sorprendentes y misteriosas que rodean a la Catedral de Dunblane concierne a la muerte de Margaret Drummond, una amante del rey Jaime IV de Escocia, y sus dos hermanas. Las tres están enterradas en la catedral. Según la tradición, fueron envenenadas, probablemente por razones políticas, durante un banquete en el Castillo Drummond, donde se estaban alojando.
