El Gran Premio de Gran Bretaña de 2009 es la octava prueba puntuable de la temporada 2009 de Fórmula 1. Se disputó entre el 26 y 28 de junio en el Circuito de Silverstone , está iba a ser la última vez que se corriera en este circuito en la Fórmula 1, ya que para la temporada 2010 el Gran Premio de Gran Bretaña se correria en Donington Park, pero por problemas económicos se continuó en el Circuito de Silverstone.
Lewis Hamilton ganó la confusa edición anterior bajo una intensa lluvia. De los pilotos en activo, solo Fernando Alonso , Kimi Räikkönen , Rubens Barrichello y el ya citado Hamilton han ganado algún Gran Premio de Gran Bretaña.
