El 30 de julio de 1863, la estación de tren de Pembroke fue inaugurada por el Ferrocarril de Pembroke y Tenby como la terminal temporal de la línea a Tenby. La estación consistía originalmente en pequeños edificios de madera, con una plataforma corta de 150 pies. Al año siguiente, la línea se extendió hasta la estación de tren de Pembroke Dock.
