La Isla de Thanet se encuentra en el punto más oriental de Kent, Inglaterra. Aunque en el pasado estaba separada de la costa por el canal de Wantsum, de 600 metros de ancho, ya no es una isla.
Los restos arqueológicos atestiguan que pueblos antiguos vivieron aquí. Hoy en día, es un destino turístico, pero también tiene una base agrícola activa.
