El faro de Happisburgh en Happisburgh, en la costa norte de Norfolk, es el único faro operado de forma independiente en Gran Bretaña. También es el faro en funcionamiento más antiguo de East Anglia.
El edificio fue construido en 1790 como uno de un par de luces alimentadas por velas. En 1801, la energía de las velas fue reemplazada por lámparas de aceite y reflectores. En 1863, la etapa de la linterna fue reemplazada por la estructura de vidrio de marco diagonal que se ve hoy y cuatro años después, los reflectores fueron reemplazados en cada faro por una gran lente catadióptrica diseñada por James Chance.
