El río Funshion nace en las montañas Galtee en Kilbeheny, cerca de la frontera entre el condado de Limerick y el condado de Tipperary. Fluye hacia el sur pasando por el castillo de Galtee y bajo la M8, cruzando la R639. Luego fluye hacia el oeste y forma parte de la frontera entre el condado de Limerick y el condado de Cork, pasando de nuevo bajo la M8 y la R639 en Kilbeheny. Fluye hacia el oeste a través del club de golf de Mitchelstown, al norte de la ciudad. El Funshion pasa bajo la N73 cerca de Kildorrery, fluyendo hacia el sureste a través de Glanworth y de nuevo bajo la M8 y la R639, drena en el Blackwater de Munster aproximadamente 3.5 km río abajo de Fermoy.
