De rivier Funshion ontspringt in de Galtee Mountains bij Kilbeheny, nabij de grens tussen County Limerick en County Tipperary. Hij stroomt naar het zuiden langs Galtee Castle en onder de M8, en kruist de R639. Vervolgens stroomt hij naar het westen en vormt hij een deel van de grens tussen County Limerick en County Cork, waarbij hij opnieuw onder de M8 en de R639 bij Kilbeheny stroomt. Hij stroomt westwaarts door Mitchelstown Golf Club, ten noorden van de stad. De Funshion stroomt onder de N73 nabij Kildorrery, stroomt zuidoostelijk door Glanworth en opnieuw onder de M8 en R639, en mondt uit in de Munster Blackwater ongeveer 3,5 km stroomafwaarts van Fermoy.
