Borgo Val di Taro es un municipio situado en el territorio de la provincia de Parma, en Emilia-Romaña, .
Es también llamado en forma abreviada como [3] de Borgtär[4] en dialecto Parmigiano, lenguaje del Idioma emiliano-romañol y Bùrgu[5] en dialecto local.
Durante la edad media el nombre más antiguo de Borgo Val Di Taro fue Turrexana o Torresana.[6]
En el año 2013 estaba integrado por 7350 habitantes[7] y forma parte de los Valles montañosos de la Comunidad del Taro y Ceno que está integrada por 15 municipios.
