Isola del Gran Sasso d'Italia es un municipio situado en el territorio de la Provincia de Teramo, en Abruzos, .
En los alrededores del municipio se conservan restos del periodo neolítico. Sin embargo, los primeros registros referentes a la localidad con su nombre actual corresponden al siglo XI, cuando uno de sus habitantes realizó la donación de una propiedad a la Catedral de Téramo.
