La estación fue activada el 28 de septiembre de 1986 como terminal del alargamiento que venía de Sesto Marelli.
El 15 de junio de 2012 comenzaron los trabajos para la instalación de las puertas de andén en la vía 1 y el año siguiente en la vía 2, mientras que la vía 3 permaneció sin protección. Después de 7 años de uso de las barreras de protección, en abril de 2019 se decidió eliminarlas en la vía 2 y hacia mediados de mayo de 2019 en la vía 1.
