Alba Longa fue una antigua ciudad del Lacio, situada en los montes Albanos, fundadora y cabeza de la Liga latina. Fue destruida por Roma alrededor de la mitad del siglo VII a. C.
Conforme a la leyenda, Alba Longa fue fundada por Ascanio, también conocido como Julo, el hijo del héroe troyano Eneas, treinta años después de la fundación de Lavinium. Cronológicamente esto habría sucedido una generación después de la destrucción de Troya, la cual según Eratóstenes habría ocurrido en 1184 a. C.
