El monte Sacro [a] es una colina de Roma que se levanta sobre la ribera derecha del río Anio, tres millas al nororiente del Capitolio. Su altitud es de cerca de cincuenta metros sobre el nivel del mar. Da su nombre al barrio de la ciudad que se ha desarrollado allí desde el siglo XX.
La posición del monte Sacro se ha establecido mediante los numerosos escritos de la época romana que varios autores[1][2][3] dejaron, entre ellos Cicerón[4] y Tito Livio.[5]
