El Festival de Cine de Giffoni es un festival de cine anual que se celebra el mes de julio en la ciudad italiana de Giffoni Valle Piana, en Campania, enfocado en la promoción de películas destinadas a un público infantil y juvenil. Fundado en 1971 por el director artístico Claudio Gubitosi, su característica más distintiva es que son los propios niños y jóvenes los que conforman los jurados que otorgan los distintos premios.[1]
El Festival de Giffoni nació en 1971, a partir de una idea del director artístico Claudio Gubitosi y un grupo de amigos amantes del cine que escogieron enfocarlo en el cine para niños. Crearon así una organización sin ánimo de lucro, con el objetivo de promover películas que por su lenguaje, estilo, historia y temática, están destinadas a un público joven y familiar.[1]
