La Primera Batalla de Monte Grappa, también conocida como la Primera Batalla del Piave en Italia, fue una batalla que se libró durante la Primera Guerra Mundial entre los ejércitos del Imperio Austro-Húngaro y el Reino de Italia por el control del macizo de Monte Grappa, que cubría el flanco izquierdo del nuevo frente italiano del Piave.
El ejército italiano estaba en una retirada total tras la ofensiva de otoño austriaca de 1917. El jefe del estado mayor italiano, el general Luigi Cadorna, había ordenado la construcción de obras de defensa fortificadas alrededor de la cima de Monte Grappa para convertir la montaña en una fortaleza inexpugnable. Cuando la ofensiva austriaca derrotó a los italianos, el nuevo jefe del estado mayor italiano, Armando Diaz, ordenó al Cuarto Ejército detener su retirada y defender estas posiciones entre las montañas Roncone y Tomatico, con el apoyo del Segundo Ejército.
