El Ducado de Curlandia y Semigalia es el nombre de un ducado en la región del Báltico que existió entre 1562 y 1569 como Estado vasallo del Gran Ducado de Lituania y, entre 1569 y 1726, de la República de las Dos Naciones, año en el que el Sejm lo incorporó a esta última.[1] Finalmente el Imperio ruso se lo anexionó el 28 de marzo de 1795, durante la tercera partición de Polonia.
