Den Oever es una aldea situada en el municipio de Hollands Kroon, en la provincia de Noord-Holland. Se encuentra en el extremo suroeste de la Afsluitdijk. La aldea es especialmente conocida por la pesca de camarones.
Den Oever es la segunda aldea más grande de la antigua isla de Wieringen, después de Hippolytushoef. El nombre del lugar es un antiguo nombre para el área en la que se encuentra la aldea. Alrededor del tiempo en que se formó el mar de Wadden, el área solo tenía acceso al agua abierta por el este, la orilla. Más tarde, cuando el mar de Wadden y el Zuiderzee se convirtieron en grandes áreas de agua abierta, Den Oever fue durante un tiempo una combinación de marisma y agua abierta. La orilla, que estaba aproximadamente en Oosterland, se desplazó gradualmente durante los siglos XIV y XV. Así se formaron varios núcleos pequeños, incluido Den Oever.
