Oirschot ) es la capital del municipio del mismo nombre, Oirschot, en la provincia neerlandesa de Brabante Septentrional. Oirschot está situado en la región de Kempen. El nombre Oirschot podría provenir de "schoot", que significa tierra alta en área pantanosa, y "oir", que podría derivar de "oeros" o "suelo que contiene mineral de hierro". Pero también podría ser que "oir" se refiera a agua, como "aar". En ese caso, sería un lugar elevado en o cerca de un bajo húmedo, lo cual sigue siendo cierto, aunque menos evidente que en el pasado. Por lo tanto, Oirschot tiene el mismo significado que Aarschot en Brabante Flamenco.
