Oirschot) è il capoluogo del comune omonimo di Oirschot, nella provincia olandese del Brabante Settentrionale. Oirschot si trova nella regione dei Kempen. Il nome Oirschot deriverebbe da "schoot", che significa terra più alta in un'area paludosa, e "oir", che potrebbe essere collegato a "oeros" o a "suolo contenente minerale di ferro". Ma potrebbe anche essere che "oir", proprio come "aar", indichi acqua. In tal caso, sarebbe quindi un luogo alto in o vicino a un'area umida, cosa che è ancora vera oggi, sebbene meno evidente rispetto al passato. Oirschot ha quindi lo stesso significato di Aarschot nel Brabante Fiammingo.
