Heythuysen ) es una aldea en la provincia neerlandesa de Limburg, municipio de Leudal, con más de 6.545 habitantes. El nombre Heythuysen proviene de 'heidehuizen', cuyo nombre habla por sí mismo. La población local utiliza como apodo para Heythuysen el halagador término 'Klein Paries'. Heythuysen surgió a principios de la Edad Media en una cresta de arena entre el Beek Bevelandse y el Beek Tungelroyse. Pertenecía en 1243 a la Tierra de Horn, más tarde fue propiedad del Principado de Lieja, y en 1680 se convirtió en una señoría independiente, durante la época francesa se convirtió en un municipio.
