Ossenzijl es un pueblo en el municipio de Steenwijkerland en la provincia holandesa de Overijssel. Tiene aproximadamente 565 habitantes. Es probable que el pueblo de su nombre a la familia Osse, que gestionaba una esclusa. Hoy en día, esta esclusa ya no está en uso. Ossenzijl se encuentra en el Kalenbergergracht, que conecta los Weerribben y Kalenberg a través del Linde con los lagos frisones. Hoy en día, este agua se utiliza principalmente por yates de placer.
