Klein Zwitserland es un área natural a lo largo de la Utrechtseweg dentro de la zona urbana de Amersfoort que forma parte de la Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
No se sabe quién inventó el nombre Klein Zwitserland, pero no es difícil imaginar por qué esta parte de Amersfoort recibió este nombre: este bosque se encuentra en la cima de la Amersfoortse Berg. Es una colina, formada en la primera edad de hielo.
Dentro del área se encuentra el punto más alto de Amersfoort, la Galgenberg (44 m sobre el nivel del mar). En el pasado, aquí se ahorcaba a los condenados a muerte. Esto servía como prueba de que Amersfoort tenía una justicia estricta y que era mejor comportarse. La Galgenberg ha sido designada actualmente por el municipio como zona de suelta para perros.
