En el lugar de la actual iglesia, desde aproximadamente el siglo XI, ya había una pequeña iglesia de piedra de turba con un campanario a dos aguas. La torre fue reformada en 1819 para convertirse en la torre actual con aguja. En 1883, se derribó el resto de la antigua iglesia y se reconstruyó. La construcción de la nueva iglesia costó f.7.155,10 (florines).
