La estación de Simpelveld es la antigua estación de ferrocarril de Simpelveld. La estación se inauguró el 23 de octubre de 1853 y tenía originalmente una longitud de 100 metros. En 1975 fue parcialmente demolida, y se eliminaron el almacén de mercancías, diversas áreas de servicio, la sala de descanso y la sala de espera. De la longitud original quedan 38 metros. La estación se cerró finalmente en lo que respecta al transporte público de pasajeros el 31 de mayo de 1992. Hasta entonces, en el edificio también habían servido los efectivos de la Brigada de la Guardia Civil de Simpelveld. Como recuerdo permanente, la Guardia Civil, a pedido de la Sociedad de Ferrocarriles de Vapor del Sur de Limburgo, dio permiso para colocar una placa en la entrada de la antigua sala de visitas.
