El restaurante 'De Haven van Huizen' está ubicado en los antiguos 'hangen', los edificios donde se ahumaba el pescado. Después de las fábricas de ahumado de pescado, se produjo cerámica aquí hasta 1987. Primero por la ESKAF, la Primera Fábrica de Cerámica de Steenwijk, luego bajo el nombre HaHo y desde 1935 por la Potterie de Driehoek. Desde 1989, el restaurante De Haven van Huizen ha estado establecido allí.
