El edificio, situado en el lado sur de Parkweg cerca de Paterswoldseweg, fue construido en 1927 como escuela primaria según un diseño del entonces arquitecto municipal Siebe Jan Bouma en el estilo de la Escuela de Ámsterdam. Es un edificio simétrico con un plano rectangular, que consta de una parte central de entrada con un gimnasio semicircular ampliado y dos alas con aulas.
