El Gooijer fue construido en 1775. El molino es del tipo de base y tiene como función molino de drenaje. El molino se encuentra en Wolvega, junto al río Linde.
Originalmente, el molino estaba en Blesdijke. Después de aproximadamente sesenta años, el molino fue trasladado por primera vez a Noordwolde alrededor de 1835, donde el molino funcionó como molino de grano durante aproximadamente ochenta años. En 1917, el molino fue trasladado por segunda vez. Antes de la restauración en 1991, el molino era conocido como De Walden y fue renombrado en honor al último molinero profesional del molino. El propietario es la asociación It Fryske Gea.
