El Waver es un río en la provincia neerlandesa de Holanda del Norte, que desemboca en el Amstel. El río forma el límite sur y el límite este del municipio de Ouder-Amstel y el límite noroeste de De Ronde Venen. También constituye la frontera entre las provincias de Holanda del Norte y Utrecht. Más allá del puente Stokkelaars, el Waver se llama el Viejo Waver. La aldea de Waver está situada en la margen derecha del Waver. Para el tráfico hay tres puentes, el puente Stokkelaars, el puente Waver y en el Fuerte Waver-Amstel el puente Jac.G. Keabrug.
