La asociación se originó el 1 de enero de 1904 a partir de la fusión de los clubes RC & VV Volharding, fundado el 1 de enero de 1895, y RV & CV Olympia, fundado el 23 de mayo de 1885. La fecha de fundación de Volharding se mantuvo como la fecha de fundación del nuevo club fusionado.
V.O.C. tiene siete equipos senior compitiendo y 6 equipos junior. El primer equipo juega en la Topklasse, la máxima categoría nacional. V.O.C. tuvo en el pasado una posición de liderazgo en el cricket neerlandés, como lo demuestra los once campeonatos en los últimos 30 años.
