El Amer es un río en la provincia neerlandesa de Brabante Septentrional, que forma la continuación del Bergsche Maas. El Amer comienza en Geertruidenberg, donde el agua del Donge y del Spijkerboor se unen con el agua del Bergsche Maas. El río tiene casi doce kilómetros de largo y forma el límite sur del Parque Nacional De Biesbosch. El Amer desemboca en el Hollands Diep. A lo largo del río encontramos los pueblos de Drimmelen y Lage Zwaluwe. En Geertruidenberg hay una central eléctrica que lleva el nombre del río: la Amercentrale.
