El Vecht, a veces también conocido como el Vecht de Utrecht, es un río neerlandés que atraviesa las provincias de Utrecht y Holanda Septentrional. El Vecht se formó alrededor de 600 a.C. como parte del delta del Rin y el tramo superior del Oer-IJ. El Vecht comienza en la esclusa Weerdsluis en la ciudad de Utrecht y desemboca a unos 40 kilómetros más adelante en el IJmeer, en Muiden. En el camino, el Vecht pasa, entre otros, por los lugares de Maarssen, Breukelen, Loenen y Weesp.
En la Edad Media, el Vecht era una conexión de navegación muy importante entre lo que ahora es el IJsselmeer y el Rin, que daba acceso, entre otros, a Alemania.
En el siglo XVII, el Siglo de Oro, comerciantes exitosos de Ámsterdam hicieron construir o reformar lugares de recreo junto al Vecht.
Ahora el Vecht es un río muy querido para la navegación recreativa.
