Este encantador bosque de hayas es un lugar querido por caminantes y fotógrafos. Cuando el dosel deja pasar ramos dorados de luz solar, entiendes por qué. A pesar de las empinadas laderas del bosque, puedes caminar cómodamente a lo largo del Geleenbeek. Este serpentea aquí magníficamente a través de un paisaje con huertos, charcas de agua potable y setos llenos de aves.
La probabilidad de que lo veas es pequeña, pero el Stammenderbos es un hábitat para el mayor tipo de escarabajo de los Países Bajos: el ciervo volador. También se encuentra aquí el raro lobo de los campos. No te preocupes: es un hámster peludo y salvaje que vive de granos caídos.
