De Zandkes es una pequeña polders, situada entre la antigua y la nueva duna costera. Agua dulce y salada se mezclan aquí hasta formar agua salobre. Tres charcas poco profundas hacen que sea muy interesante para las aves limícolas y de pradera posarse aquí.
