El Castillo de Breda fue alguna vez el castillo principal de los Nassau, los antepasados de nuestra familia real. Debido al importante papel internacional de los Nassau, el Castillo fue un lugar relevante en Europa desde el siglo XV hasta el siglo XVII.
Larga historiaEl Castillo de Breda tiene una larga historia. Ya en 1198 había un burgo en este lugar. El Castillo pasó a manos de los Nassau a principios del siglo XV por el matrimonio del conde alemán Engelbrecht de Nassau con la bredense Johanna de Polanen.
A lo largo de los siglos, casi constantemente se han hecho reformas en el Castillo.
