Il Castello di Breda è stato un tempo il castello di famiglia dei Nassau, gli antenati della nostra famiglia reale. A causa del importante ruolo internazionale dei Nassau, il Castello nel XV secolo fino al XVII secolo è stato un luogo importante in Europa.
