Nederlandse Publieke Omroep , también conocida por sus siglas NPO, es la empresa de radiodifusión pública de los Países Bajos. Fue fundada en 1930 y gestiona tres canales de televisión, siete emisoras de radio nacionales, una oferta de servicios digitales y un sitio web. Además participa en la televisión internacional neerlandesa BVN.
NPO está formada por distintas organizaciones de radiodifusión, a diferencia de lo que ocurre en otros países donde solo hay una empresa. El sistema se estableció en 1930 y está influido por la pilarización, un proceso de principios del siglo XX por el que los grupos religiosos y sociales de los Países Bajos crearon sus propias instituciones con la ayuda del estado.[1]
