El alargado Savelsbos termina al norte en una colina de unos 120 metros de altura, el Riesenberg. El nombre se deriva de la viticultura de la época medieval o incluso de la romana. La bodega Riesenberg es de fecha más reciente. Sus vides se pueden admirar al pie de la colina.
En la colina descubrirás aún más, como el antiguo Hotsboom que anteriormente servía de hito. Hay entradas de antiguas canteras de piedra caliza con nombres como Groeve de Hel y la Varkensgatsgroeve, donde ahora habitan murciélagos. La mejor vista la tienes en la casa del guarda forestal Huis de Beuk.
