Steenwijkerwold es una aldea en la provincia neerlandesa de Overijssel, ubicada a 3 kilómetros al noroeste de Steenwijk. La aldea pertenece al municipio de Steenwijkerland y cuenta con aproximadamente 1.910 habitantes. Está situada en la 'Kop van Overijssel'. Antiguamente, se utilizaba el nombre para designar una región boscosa alrededor de Steenwijk. Las diferentes aldeas en esta región más tarde caerían bajo el municipio de Steenwijkerwold. La actual aldea de Steenwijkerwold consiste en las aldeas fusionadas de Gelderingen y Kerkbuurt, y el algo más distante Thij. El municipio independiente de Steenwijkerwold se fusionó el 1 de enero de 1973 con el entonces municipio de Steenwijk.
