Koog aan de Zaan es una aldea, lugar de residencia y un antiguo municipio en la región de Zaanstreek, que se unió al municipio de Zaanstad en 1974, del cual abarca administrativamente dos distritos. Koog aan de Zaan está situada entre Westzaan, Zaandijk y Zaandam y tenía 11.225 habitantes el 1 de enero de 2021. Koog aan de Zaan se divide en dos barrios residenciales: Oud-Koog aan de Zaan y el relativamente más nuevo Westerkoog. Westerkoog fue anteriormente, cuando el barrio era nuevo, conocido popularmente como 'Havezathe', en honor al desarrollador inmobiliario de Róterdam de aquel entonces.
