La Hekslootpolder es una zona de polder y naturaleza entre Haarlem-Norte y Spaarndam. Es un área de pradera donde anidan aves. El área forma parte de la zona recreativa Spaarnwoude como zona de amortiguación verde entre Haarlem y Ámsterdam. En el área se encuentra el canal Heksloot. La polder también forma parte de la Línea de Defensa de Ámsterdam, donde se determinó que el campo de tiro debía permanecer despejado. Entre la Hekslootpolder y el Fuerte al sur de Spaarndam se encuentra la Vieja Polder de Spaarndam, que forma parte del área natural.
