La cantera Staring
Losser es uno de los pocos lugares en los Países Bajos donde la roca sólida se encuentra relativamente cerca de la superficie y también es accesible. Esta roca, la arenisca de Losser, se formó en un período geológico llamado el Cretácico. Esto fue hace aproximadamente 130 millones de años.
