Travancas era una freguesia portuguesa del concelho de Chaves, en el distrito de Vila Real con 13,35 km² de superficie y 402 habitantes ,[1] distribuidos en tres núcleos de población: Argemil, São Cornélio y Travancas. Su densidad de población era de 30,1 hab/km².
Situada a unos 20 km de Chaves, Travancas perteneció al antiguo concelho de Monforte de Río Livre, hasta su extinción el 31 de diciembre de 1853, pasando desde entonces al de Chaves.[2]
